  Expostional Preaching:  Teaching God's Word in the context with real life application. 

"They read from the Book of the Law of God, making it clear and giving the meaning so that the people understood what was being read." - Nehemiah 8:8

 Biblical Authority: What God says matters and it shapes everything we say and do. 

“All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting and training in righteousness so that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work” – 2 Timothy 3:16-17


 Prayer:   Knowing God and life transformation is impossible without prayer.

“One day Jesus was praying in a certain place.  When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.” – Luke 11:1

 

The Gospel:  Forgiveness and new life in Christ is mankind’s greatest need. 

Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks of the water I give him will never thirst.  Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life” – John 4:13-14


 Authenticity:   We are imperfect people who are loved by a perfect God who is changing us from the inside out. 

“You were taught, with regard to your former way of life, to put off your old self, which is being corrupted by it deceitful desires; to be made new in the attitude of your minds; and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”
– Ephesians 4:22-24


 Relationships & Community:  God never intended us to do life alone and we are better together when we are committed to biblical community.  

“For by the grace given me I say to every one of you:  Do not think more highly than you ought, but rather with sober judgement, in accordance with the measure of faith God has given you.  Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.  We have different gifts, according to the grace given us.”  - Romans 12:3-6a.


Generosity:  We don’t exist for ourselves, we exist to glorify God and see people come into His Kingdom through giving of our time, talents, gifts and financial resources. 

“For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain” – Philippians 1:21


 Mission:  It’s not about me and what I like; it’s about staying on mission and reaching people who are not here yet.

Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”
